I remember meeting Myron with my twin Brother, Gary, in 2nd or 3rd Grade at Houston Elementary School. We both became very close with. All of us were a part of a very special group of friends thta graduated 8th Grade in 1972. My mother reminded me, that Myron would often eat lunch at our home, when his mother was working. I remember playing Tag Football on Gorgas Lane and Anderson Street. (it was a short walk from our home on Durham Street.
After Houston, my brother, Myron, and I, along with a few others, went on to Central High School, class 235. We were all proud to be Central Lancers.
In 1976, we all graduated Central High, and like many others, went off in Different directions.
We lost touch for far too many years, but Thanks to today's technology, we were able to re-connect on Facebook. We were able to chat on a few occasions , sharing memories, achievements, and family stories.
Over the years, we have lost a few of our Houston group, due to cancer. It is a horrible disease. I know I will always remember Myron along with the others and hope to see a cure in our lieftime.
My thoughts and prayes go out to Myron's family.
May his memory be a blessing.
