Obituary for Margaret Johnson Fields

DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA - Margaret Johnson Fields of Doylestown, PA passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA. She was 81.

Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Prall Johnson, Sr. and Lottie Rittenhouse Johnson, Margaret was a lifelong resident of Basking Ridge, NJ before moving to Doylestown in 2010.

Margaret was a graduate of Fisher Junior College of Boston, MA class of 1953. She was formerly employed as a secretary with AT&T of Bernards Twp., NJ, a medical secretary for Dr. William Cox of Basking Ridge, and secretary with the Bernards Township School System of NJ. Margaret was a former member of the Somerset Hills Lutheran Church of Basking Ridge and she also quilted with the Bishop Jane Methodist Church " Piecemakers" in Basking Ridge.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vance Richardson Fields, Jr., devoted mother of Vance Richardson Fields, III, Mark Steven Fields and Wendy Gibson Fields, dear sister of the late Millicent Freihaut, Eleanor Sigle, Florence Lines, Betty Coleman, Charlotte Farr, Prall Johnson, Jr., Simeon and James Johnson, loving grandmother of Shira and Talya Fields, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Somerset Hills Lutheran Church, 350 Lake Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 would be appreciated.
