Obituary for Thomas J. Flavin Jr.

TELFORD, PENNSYLVANIA - Thomas J. Flavin, Jr., of Telford, PA and formerly Doylestown, PA entered Eternal Life on Sunday, July 5, 2015. He was 79.

Born in Darby, PA he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Anne M. Flavin.

He was the father of Joseph B. Flavin (Susan) of Spring City PA, Joanne M. Beveridge (James) of Telford, PA, Trish Miekley (Scott) of Carlisle, PA, and Thomas J. Flavin III (Cheryl) of Doylestown, PA.

He was extremely proud of his 12 grandchildren Thomas, Matthew, John, Jeffrey, Mia, Daniel, Julianne, Tommy, Talia, Michalene, Adam and Liza.

He was the brother of George J. Flavin (Dee) of Houston, TX, Anne M. Goldfield of Phoenixville, PA, Kathleen A. Flavin of Millsboro, DE, John C. Flavin (Deborah) of State College, PA, Sister Elizabeth T. Flavin S.S.J. of the Sisters of St. Joseph and of Eleanor V. Moslein (Lou) of Drexel Hill, PA. Preceding him in death were his sister Maria A. Corman (Mort) of Barrington, NJ and his brother Joseph T. Flavin of Little Rock, AR.

In his retirement, he was most happy hand-making children's toys, puzzles, and other items for his grandchildren and others. He also enjoyed spending time volunteering for the Grand View Hospital Hospice program. When not woodworking or volunteering with Grand View Hospice, he was making meals for St. John's Hospice in Philadelphia.

Friends may gather on Thursday, July 9th at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA, where a viewing will be held from 8:30am to 10:30am, with a Mass of Christian Burial directly following.

Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Catholic Cemetery, County Line and Upper State Roads, Chalfont, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in care of Sisters of Saint Joseph, Saint Joseph Villa, 110 West Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031.
