Obituary for Ridgley Scott Ryman, Jr.

Ridgley Scott Ryman, Jr. (Ridge) of Buckingham, PA passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024. He was 87.

Born in Dunmore, PA to the late Ridgley S. Ryman, Sr. and Esther (Jones) Ryman, Ridge grew up in Ewing, NJ and resided in the home he built on Buckingham Mountain since 1972.

An avid car enthusiast and aficionado since he bought his first car in 1953, collecting, restoring and driving sports cars and antique automobiles was his great joy as was his life in the automobile industry. In a career that began in sales and spanned over fifty years and five dealerships (Alexander Motors and McCormick Lincoln-Mercury in Trenton, Ryman Ford-Mercury in Frenchtown, McCaffrey Auto Group in Langhorne, Flemington Subaru), his positions included Sales Manager, General Manager and Dealer/Owner. Ridge was a former member of the Buckingham Sports Car Club and an award-winning driver of Road Rallies throughout the northeast.

Ridge was a Staff Sergeant in the New Jersey Army National Guard Reserves.

He is survived by his true love, high school sweetheart and wife since 1958, Alice (Irons) Ryman. He was the devoted father of Kelly Ryman de Mets and husband Peter, Laura Inlander and husband Kevin; loving grandfather of Bradley Aaron Ryman Inlander and wife Ashton, Joshua Scott de Mets, Alex de Mets and Sarah Inlander; cherished great-grandfather of Kathrine Inlander. He was the beloved brother of the late Ralph Ryman and Betty Martin.

A visitation will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 900 Washington Crossing Road, Newtown, PA 18940 on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am with a service to begin at 11:00 am.
