Richard J. Kaminski “Dick” of Doylestown, PA passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the age of 84.

Born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Joseph and Catherine (Myhowycz) Kaminski, Dick spent his life in Bloomfield, NJ, Deerfield, IL, Warrington and Pittsburgh, PA. In 1983, Dick and his wife designed their dream home in Buckingham where they resided until moving to Doylestown two years ago. He also spent a lot of time at their beach home in Spring Lake, NJ.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in Business Administration and was a Certified Public Accountant. He was a Vice President at several banks before becoming self-employed as a forensic accountant at Buckingham Financial Corporation. Dick was Captain of the Villanova Men’s Basketball Team Class of 1961 and member of the Villanova Men’s Track and Field Team where he threw the javelin. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at both Villanova University and St. Aloysius High School, Jersey City. As a valuable member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Doylestown, PA, he coached CYO High School Boys Basketball prior to coaching his children in basketball, baseball and softball. While he and his sons were in scouts, he enjoyed helping them create winning Pine Run Derby cars. He, along with his daughter, were members of the Indian Princesses where he was elected the Chief of the Tribe. In addition to his athletic prowess, one of his hobbies was restoring classic cars as he was extremely talented building and fixing anything. It was evident that if a problem needing solving, you went to Dick for the answer. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and beloved dog, Gibbs. Dick also proudly served in the US Army Reserves. With all five children graduating from Villanova University, his legacy continued.
