Obituary for John Larson Barry
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of John Larson Barry of Jamison, PA on January 13, 2023.
John was born in New York, New York to the late John J. and Eleanor Ingrid Barry. John was the beloved husband of 42 years to Karen and the loving father of Sean Larson and Jessica Barry and Leigh Cara Barry. He was the dear brother of Ingrid and Jim Stillwaggon, Kären Barry and Anthony Eady, Peter Barry, and Lisa and Bert Kennedy. He was the adored son-in-law to Lee Johns and brother in-law to Joseph Johns and Karl and Sharleen Johns. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his father-in-law William Johns and brother-in-law William Johns Jr.
John was a graduate of North Dakota State University and received his law degree from John Marshall Law School. John was recognized as one of the most elite franchise development professionals in the industry and has licensed and marketed over 3,000 franchises worldwide. He was a respected guest lecturer at Harvard University.
John’s enthusiasm for life was infectious and inspiring. He loved his family dearly. His children were the light of his life, his relationship with his siblings was cherished. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend. He touched the lives of so many people. He will be deeply missed and never be forgotten.
At John’s request, a private Celebration of Life is planned.
