Obituary for Neila Weimer
Neila Weimer of Doylestown, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Mercer Hill at Doylestown. She was 84.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Neil and Edna (Stroud) Chapman, Neila resided in Solebury Township before moving to Doylestown in 1997.
Neila received a bachelor’s degree in education from Florida State University and later taught as a pre-school teacher at Oak Villa Pre-School. She also taught as a kindergarten teacher with the Lambertville School District in NJ and later became the school director with the Doylestown United Methodist Church. Neila was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church and a former member of the Carversville United Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and trips to Ocean City, NJ.
She was the devoted mother of Karl Weimer and wife Peggy Walsh, Eric Weimer and wife Anissa; dear sister of Nancy Cavallaro and husband Richard; cherished grandmother of Jackson, Louis, Brian and Katy Weimer; loving cousin of Linda Rothermel of Ocean City, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at the Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive their friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
