Obituary for Herbert W. Buehler
Herbert W. Buehler, 96, most recently of Doylestown, PA and formerly of Clark, NJ and Elizabeth, NJ where he was born, passed away on November 30, 2022.
Herbert was born on December 19, 1925 to Hermann and Frieda Buehler. Stationed in Buffalo, NY, at the Naval Base, he proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean War. Living in Elizabeth, he met his wife Lillian and they moved to Clark NJ. They were married for 56 years.
While raising 2 children and working at Exxon as a Financial Analyst, Herbert returned to school to get his MBA in Business Administration. He loved typing and correspondence, preferring to write letters to people.
Other interests he had were bowling, playing golf, and dancing. He loved dancing waltzes and polkas with Lillian (or any other woman that needed a partner). After retiring, Herbert did volunteer work at Rahway Hospital for several years.
Herbert and Lillian enjoyed exploring different places in the US and Europe, including Germany from where his parents had emigrated.
Herbert was predeceased by his wife Lillian in 2012. He is survived by his 2 children Marc Buehler and his wife Carol; Marlene Khouri and her husband John; and grandchildren Emilia and Daniel.
A memorial service to honor Herbert will take place at a future time.
