Obituary for Francis "Bud" W. Lamina, Jr.
Francis “Bud” W. Lamina, Jr. of Doylestown, PA passed away at his residence on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was 72.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis W. Lamina, Sr. and Rita (Carr) Lamina, Frank resided in Jenkintown, PA before moving to Doylestown, PA 45 years ago.
Following his service in the United States Air Force, Frank was employed as a chemist with Penn Color Inc. for over 40 years, retiring in 2020. He was mechanically inclined from a young age and enjoyed working on cars, particularly Buick Roadmasters. If you never spent a weekend in the driveway handing him tools or keeping a steady flashlight and absorbing colorful remarks, then maybe you didn’t really know him.
He was the beloved husband of 42 years to Kathryn (Eddis) Lamina; devoted father of Danielle (Tim) Volz, Jessica (Marcus) Gray, Frank Lamina, III, and the late Melissa Lamina; dear brother of Margie (Joe) McManus, Claire (late Paul) Cherney, Tom Lamina, Marc Lamina, Maryanne Brister, Jane (Kevin) Beaty, Jimmy (Kathy) Lamina, John Lamina (survived by wife Chris), Robert (Elena) Lamina, and the late Anthony Lamina; loving grandfather of Alex, Olivia, Danielle, Sadie, Robert, Archer, and Dulaney; and a favorite uncle to dozens of nieces and nephews with whom he was especially close.
The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA on Saturday, November 26, 2022 starting at 10:30 AM with a service to begin at 11:30.
Cremation services were private.
