Obituary for Grace K. Hess
Grace K. Hess of Doylestown, PA passed away in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was 90.
Born in Fishers, IN to the late Archie and Edna (Ringer) Klepfer, Grace resided in Wauwatosa, WI and Wilmette, IL before moving to Doylestown in 1976.
She graduated from Ball State University, Muncie, IN with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as an operating room nurse at Ball Memorial Hospital. Grace later established a business for quilting, knitting and needlepoint. She was a member of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen and PA Guild of Craftsmen. Grace also enjoyed reading books and magazines.
She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Harold L. Hess; devoted mother of Stanley Hess, Nathan Hess and wife Lisa, and Andrew Hess; dear sister of the late Malcom Klepfer, Ione Klepfer and Lorraine Huffer; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation services will be private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, Doylestown, PA.
