Obituary for Nora M. Martinez
Nora M. Martinez (nee Mateos) of Doylestown, PA passed away in the Wesley Enhanced Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Doylestown, PA on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was 86.
Born in Santiago, Cuba to the late Manuel and Isabell (Maurant) Mateos, Nora resided in Levittown and Warwick, PA before moving to Wesley Enhanced Living in 2016.
She attended Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ and taught English and ESL for the Trenton City Board of Education for 40 years before retiring.
Nora enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed playing Bacci at Heritage Creek in Warwick, PA.
She was the beloved wife of the late Miguel A. Martinez; devoted mother of Miguel Martinez, Jr. and partner Abelardo Conesa; Nora Rimensnyder and husband Greg; dear sister of Manolo Mateos and late wife Merida, and the late Roberto Mateos, Oscar Mateos and Vilma Chacon; loving grandmother of Morgan and Matthew Rimensnyder; cherished sister-in-law of Mario Martinez and the late Conchita.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am, with a service to begin at 11:00 am.
Cremation was private.
