Obituary for Albert J. Heding "Coach"

Albert J. Heding “Coach” of Doylestown, PA passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He was 75.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late Aloysius and Geraldine (Baker) Heding, Coach resided in North Arlington and East Brunswick, NJ before moving to Doylestown, PA.

He graduated from Seton Hall University with a bachelor’s degree in education. Coach was formerly employed as a physical education teacher with the Franklin Township High School in Franklin Township, NJ. He was a beloved football, golf and girls’ tennis coach for the high school. Coach was currently employed with Indian Valley Country Club and was a member of Moose Lodge 1284 and the Maennerchor Society of Doylestown, PA. He was an avid golfer and was a Giants football fan.

He was the dearly loved husband of 17 years to Theresa Filozof; devoted stepfather of Daniel Lamb and wife Nancy; dear brother of the late Ellen Heding Akerston; loving step-grandfather of Camryn and Jordyn Lamb.
The family would like to give a shout out to the FHS Warriors and Maennerchor Family for their love and support as well as so many others.

Coach will be greatly missed by all for his story telling and his “Al-isums”. He was "Truly One of a Kind!"

A celebration of Coach’s life will be held at a later date.
