Obituary for Charles Henry Penglase

Charles Henry Penglase
August 12, 1931 – November 2, 2021
Husband, father, grandfather, friend.

Charlie passed away Tuesday morning and has joined his beloved Christine in the embrace of Our Lord. A smile has returned to his face as the sunlight now shines upon him.

Charlie served our community; First in the United States Army during the Korean War and later as a volunteer in the Doylestown Fire Company, as a Doylestown Township Police Officer and as the Plumstead Township Police Chief. He profoundly believed in the sacrifice of selfless giving to others, and felt most fulfilled when helping people in need.

Charlie found peace and contentment in his family and close friends.
He cherished family gatherings and time spent experiencing the outdoors.
He loved to watch his children and grandchildren learn and grow.

His memory will live on in the love felt so keenly by those to whom he was close and those he served.

We miss you.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Charlie's memory may be made to the Doylestown Fire Company, Attention: Donations, 68 Shewell Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901 or www.doylestownfireco.org
