Obituary for Catherine "Sue" Faust
Catherine “Sue” Faust (Stanley) passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Doylestown Hospital. She was 86.
Born in Abington, PA on February 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Stanley.
Sue graduated from Upper Moreland High School, where she lettered in both Field Hockey and Basketball and was a cheerleader. She was inducted into Upper Moreland's High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. While most of her married life was dedicated to her family at home, she also worked at Proctor and Gamble in Hatboro, PA for 15 years.
In 1952, Sue married John “Jack” Faust on June 21 in Willow Grove, PA. They shared 47 years of marriage until Jack’s passing in 1999. They raised their family in Horsham, PA. Their love and life examples will live on in their children.
In addition to her husband Jack, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, George Stanley.
She is survived by her four children Karen Faust (David), Jack Faust, George Faust (Michelle) and Kristie Patterson (Brent); five grandchildren, Courtney Edgar, Jacquelyn Roberts, Cole Patterson, Rachel Faust, and Samantha Patterson; and a great-granddaughter, Juliana Edgar.
Sue was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed trips to the casinos to play blackjack.
She was a devoted, selfless, loving mother who will be missed deeply by her family. She was fortunate to have many friends throughout her long life who she valued tremendously.
