Obituary for Ivor Lewis Foster

Ivor Lewis Foster of Buckingham Township, PA passed away at his residence on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was 84.

Born in Worksop, England, Ivor was a Band Master in Guildford, Surrey with The Salvation Army. Before immigrating to the United States in 1975, Ivor and his family lived in Barbados. Upon arrival to America, Ivor settling in Circleville, Orange County, NY. He then moved to Thompson Ridge, NY, Boulder, Co, and then Byram and Andover Township, in NJ. Ivor and Anne moved to Buckingham Springs Community in 2016 to be closer to their grandchildren.

Ivor was formerly employed as a senior estimator with Honeywell and formerly a Vice President with Buckley Holdings from England. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club in NY, President of the Southern NY Soccer Association and a soccer coach and President with numerous soccer clubs in NY, NJ and Colorado. He played professionally for soccer clubs in England after World War II when he was just 16 years old.

He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Anne (Sharp) Foster; devoted father of Trevor Foster and wife Alison, and Helen Foster; loving grandfather of Shaughnessy and Trinity Foster; dear brother of Christine Ford, Pauline Church, Arthur Foster and Ralph Foster.

Cremation arrangements under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

A memorial service celebration will be held in the new year.
