Obituary for Iride Occhi
Iride Occhi of Doylestown, PA passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 85.
Born in Mariano, Italy, Iride arrived in the United States in 1954 settling in Doylestown, PA. She was a seamstress during World War II as well as a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for many years.
She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Cesare Occhi; devoted mother of Frank Occhi and wife Karen, Maria Monschein and husband Kelly; dear sister of Maria D’Agostino and husband Pasquale, and the late Josephine Rosolek and Luigi Bertorelli; loving grandmother of Michael Monschein and wife Lauren, David Monschein and wife Georgia, Michelle Barci and husband Kevin, and Dina Occhi; cherished great-grandmother of Ryan and Matthew Monschein.
A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am
Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
