Obituary for Joseph J. "Joe" Burke, III
Joseph J. Burke, III “Joe” of Buckingham, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA Joe resided in Pennsauken, NJ before moving to Buckingham, PA in 1997.
He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Janet (Macaluso) Burke; devoted father of Joe Burke (Devon), Brett Burke and Megan Burke (Fiancé Mike Reo); son of Joseph Burke and Mildred (Chrupcala) Burke; dear brother of Tim Burke (Ceil) and Chris Burke; loving son-in-law of Russell and Edith Macaluso; Joe leaves behind a loving extended family and friends.
Joe was a private person, respected businessman, union brother, and Eagles fan, and there was nothing he could not fix. He was the owner and operator of Advanced Piping, Inc. since 2001, but what he was most proud of was being the best husband and father to his family. Joe loved his family above all else. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love of telling the same stories over and over again. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902 on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
