Obituary for Dennis Raymond Fly
Dennis Raymond Fly of Doylestown, PA passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA. He was 78.
Born in Doylestown, PA to the late Raymond W. and Emma (Orthaus) Fly, Dennis resided in Chalfont and Buckingham before moving back to the Doylestown area.
He was formerly employed with Edwin W. Fly Painting & Paperhanging of Chalfont and was the former owner/operator of 17th & 18th Century Furniture of New Hope and Sellersville, PA. Dennis was a charter member of Family of God Lutheran Church of Buckingham, a scout leader for Boy Scouts of America, lifetime member of Chalfont Fire Company and a former member of Midway Volunteer Fire Company of Lahaska, PA. He enjoyed wood working and craftsmanship; cooking and creating recipes, music along with watching the Phillies.
He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Sandra Lea (Clemens) Fly; father of Edwin Knight, Monica Fly, the late Dwayne Fly; step father of Robert W. (Michele) Miller, John L. (Jennifer) Miller and; brother of Linda (Kevin) Henker; also survived by ten grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at Family of God Lutheran Church of Buckingham, PA in the near future with interment to follow.
Services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
