Nora Vierk passed away Sunday July 19 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 96. Her dear husband of 73 years, Ernie Vierk, had just died in March.
Nora had taught elementary school at St. John Lutheran School in Lansing, IL, her hometown, and then was a teacher and the principal of St. Matthew's Lutheran School in Pittsburgh. After retiring from teaching she became a bookkeeper at the Doylestown (PA) Tennis Club, where she was a much-loved staff member for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter Lois Vierk, son-in-law Bruce Ide, granddaughter Wendy Ide and four nieces. She is much missed!
