Obituary for Thomas H. Crawford
Thomas H. Crawford of Doylestown, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 89.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Harry and Stella (Garges) Crawford, Tom resided in Buckingham Springs for 23 years before moving to Doylestown a year ago.
He was formerly employed as a Plastics Engineer with Rohm and Haas of Bristol, PA for 29 years, before retiring in 1992. Tom served as a Fireman in the United States Army and later as a reservist. He was a 50 + year member of the Newtown Lodge 427 F & A.M. of Woodside, PA; enjoyed golfing, wood carving, bird watching, and camping with his grandchildren. Tom and his wife Nancy travelled to Canada, Europe, many areas of the United States and enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks. He was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church for 25 years.
He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Nancy (Hankins) Crawford, devoted father of Susan Tosti and husband Paul, and the late Scott Thomas Crawford; loving grandfather of Lauren Hanan and husband Mike, Paul Tosti, Jr. and wife Jessica, Colin Tosti and wife Megan; cherished great-grandfather of McKenna, Brooklyn and Nora Tosti; dear brother of Estella Hinkle, Shirley Lare and the late Dorothy King and Gloria Bork.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 2:00-3:00 pm with a service to begin at 3:00 pm.
Placement at Washington Crossing Cemetery, Newtown, PA will be held at a later date.
