Obituary for Roseanne Palka
Roseanne Marie Palka, 74 years old, died May 22, 2020 at St Mary’s Hospital. She was born July 6, 1945 at Nazareth hospital.
Roseanne was the daughter of Stephanie and Raymond Wesolowski (deceased). Her siblings include Bernie Wesolowski (Carol), Dorothy Rooney (deceased), Raymond Wesolowski, Loretta Cromwell (Michael deceased) and Joe Wesolowski (Kathy).
She graduated from St. Huberts High School and then married Joseph Henry Palka on February 4, 1967.
She was the president of her LPN nursing class and graduated from James Martin School of Nursing. She worked at Golden Slipper Health and Rehabilitation Center. For a number of years she was a devoted nurse and loved taking care of her patients. As a member of AA, she was a strong advocate of supporting people in the program. “Let Go, Let God.”
She had four wonderful children: Stephanie Kelly (Darren), Michael Palka (Cara), Janeen Fisk (Brian), and Joseph Palka (Damaris).
Grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren: Nicholas, Nyah, Noah, Paige, Sebastian and Santino.
At birthday parties she insisted on singing the Polish version of Happy Birthday “Stolat” and she loved to make a fashion statement always wanting to look beautiful; which she was.
Roseanne would always say “Be safe and have a good and Godly day!”
A memorial gathering will be held at St. John Cantius Church Chapel, 4410 E. Thompson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19137 on Saturday, September 26th from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Rusurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.
