Obituary for Betty Adelaida Ceja
Betty Adelaida Ceja of New Rochelle, NY passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at her sister’s residence in Pipersville, PA surrounded by her family.
Born in Monsefu, Peru, to Faroaldo and the late, Gregoria (Almeyda) Custodio. She came to America at the age of 13.
She was the beloved partner of Timothy Knipling for 27 years; devoted mother of Carlos Ceja and his wife,Trish; cherished sister of Morayma Crellin, Clara Custodio, and her partner, Samuel Cesareo, Jr.; loving grandmother of Brianna Ceja, Ryder and Oliver DeQuatro; and cherished aunt of Patrick Crellin and Marisol Custodio.
Betty was a passionate teacher at the Henry Barnard School in New Rochelle, NY before retiring in 2018. She enjoyed traveling with Timothy and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was an extraordinary, loving force in the family and a friend, mentor, and true confidant to family and friends.
According to her wishes, cremation services will be private.
A memorial service of this wonderful woman will be held at a later date.
