Obituary

Bonnie MacLean Fabert of Buckingham, P.A. passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was 80.

Born in Philadelphia, P.A. to the late Russell MacLean and Beatrice White, Bonnie was an award-winning fine artist. She was perhaps best known for creating a series of posters for the famed Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco during the mid 1960’s. These posters are shown in museums around the world to this day.

Bonnie was the beloved wife of Bill Graham, rock impresario and Jacques Fabert, fine artist; loving mother of David Graham, and cherished half-sister of Valerie Sands.

She lived and operated an art studio with Jacques in Buckingham since 1972.

Bonnie will be laid to rest at Doylestown Cemetery. There will be a private celebration in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Doylestown Health Hospice at doylestownhealth.org would be greatly appreciated.

I was a model for Jacques and Bonnie starting in 1975...a very young and adventurous artist myself! Their environment/studio was such a sanctuary for me and I learned so much about art and the figure, just from modeling for them. Many conversations about art and life, they both were mentors to me. I traveled to Alaska for several years and came back to Doylestown and modeled again for them before moving to NYC. I remember David as a young boy running in and out and flying to CA to see his famous father, whom I learned about later, and Bonnie’s history of her previous marriage and poster art. Once again, blown away by her talent!! I’m so grateful to have known both of them in my life and hope that love gives you strength and time will bring you peace. Loved them both ❤️

The Pisani family send their heartfelt love and thoughts...... Bob, Suzanne, Elizabeth and sister Katherine cherish the memory of visiting her studio party last year and we were thrilled to get such an intimate view of her legacy work. Mom valued her friendship and is sorry she can't share more dinner dates. Bob is quite devastated. He loved and admired Bonnie. Can't count the times he proudly told people she was our friend. Just last weekend we were at the new Poster Museum in NYC. 2 or 3 of Bonnie's posters were on display. We chatted up a staff member and of course we had to brag that we were friends with Bonnie etc. Bob is always promoting her work. We are in shock.
David...PLEASE include us the Celebration of Life this Spring. Suzanne
