Obituary for Bruce A. Miller

Bruce Miller, 63, of Doylestown, passed away on December 27, 2019, following a difficult illness.

He is survived by a son, Bruce Miller, Jr, and family, of Iowa.

Bruce was truly a unique man. As he described it, he lived “in the rough”, in lower and central Bucks County, for the past 30 years. During his life Bruce worked for several waste management companies as well as a local car wash. More recently, he was often found either at Starbucks or Panera in Doylestown.

Over these years, Bruce has become known for his yellow bike and most recently a wheelchair. People at his typical haunts describe Bruce as a kind, gentle man, always willing to share a smile or talk baseball with others. Many people around Doylestown would provide him with gift cards and other gifts to help him be comfortable. Bruce was amazed that people would be so kind to him and was always appreciative. This is his legacy: a good man who was humble, kind, sincere, grateful for the little things in life, and loved by many.

A service of remembrance will be held at the Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 East Swamp Road, Doylestown PA 18901 on Friday, January 10, 2019 at 6:00 pm. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm prior to the service at church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH)/Code Blue https://co2ssh.org/donate a dedicated organization that supported Bruce for many years.
