Obituary for Carol M. Ritchie
Carol Margaret Ritchie (Mackie) died peacefully in her home on Wednesday June 19th, 2019 in Doylestown, Pa at the age of 75.
Carol was born on September 21st, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ to Helen and George Mackie. She is survived by her 3 children, Spike Ritchie of Reno, NV, Colleen Marushak of Mahanoy City, Pa, and Cynthia Domine of Schwenksville, Pa; her 8 grandchildren Devin, Jared, Brytny, Glenn, Taryn, Clay, Dylan and Isaiah and her 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and George Mackie.
Carol graduated from St. Dominic’s High School in 1961 and completed her bachelors degree in Communications at Ryder College in New Jersey. She worked for years through the Tri-state area as a sales executive for companies like Comcast and Dow Jones, and mentored many young men and women throughout her life.
In her retirement years she devoted her time in strong support of the democratic party, and worked in the Buck County area on both Clinton campaigns. Carol was an avid reader, with a strong desire to learn. She always loved Alaska and spent the last years of her life in Doylestown Pa. working as a voice for causes connected to the blind and rehabilitative services.
