My mind still talks to you
My heart still looks for you
I know your at peace
My friend, my mentor, my family
I met Tom early 2009. Immediately we had a bond, a bond that was never broken. Being my friend... He was always joking around, telling stories, we always enjoyed each others company and he made sure I had a smile on my face. Being my mentor...He helped me through my struggles of life, he was always there for me when I needed to talk, always guided me in a positive direction, never judged me. Being my family...he loved me unconditionally, did anything he could for me, he made sure I didn't fail. Words could never express how I feel about Tom. He leaned on me as much as I leaned on him. He was the light to my day, the up to my down, the heaven to my demon. You are greatly missed, but never forgotten, always called me your your mine, always and forever.
My sincere condolences to the entire Smith family. I'm so greatful to have met you all and have a forever family. I love you.
**Ruuuuuth...they're picking on me (Hahaaa) I miss you Tom.

I meet Tom and his loving family a few years ago through our Church. We immediately became friends. He always had the most interesting stories to tell and had the ability to make me feel part of his family. The love that was shared between Tom and Ruth was priceless.

Tom was always worried that he wasn’t good enough in God’s eyes but all those who knew him would agree that, “Precious in the eyes of the Lord are the death of His Saints.” Although he didn’t realize it, he was a true example of the love of Jesus. He was never too busy to stop and listen, console, advise, instruct and comfort those who sought him out. He gave shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, visited the imprisoned and helped the poor even though he was not materially wealthy. All of the corporal acts of mercy and spirit was automatic for Tom. It was a privilege to have known Tom and to be one of his friends.

I realize what a difficult time this is for you Ruth, but your love for each other will help you heal in time.

Thank You Tom for all the amazing years you shared with me I couldn’t have asked for a better friend/brother you made me laugh gave me a shoulder to cry on and we had the best time chatting about old times in Philly among other things. I found compassion and comfort in open arms with you, I’m forever grateful! Over the years I’ve watched your and Ruth’s children grow up and become amazing loving adults with children of their own also amazing. I’ve seen the heart of who you were in the help you gave so many, the lives you’ve touched over the years can now pay it forward, what an ever lasting gift!
One of the best things that happened during our friendship was my friendship with your wife my best friend/Sister Ruth, the best times of my life were always with my family Smith. I will always remember you with joy in my heart and a smile on my face because you were my friend my Hero!
