Obituary for Bernice F. Rose
Bernice F. Rose of Doylestown, PA passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019. She was 92.
Bernice was born, raised and resided in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Doylestown, PA in 2000. Bernice was employed as a medical secretary with Nazareth Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and playing pinochle. She volunteered at Doylestown Hospital for many years and loved spending time with her family and at the beach. Most recently Bernice was a resident at Pine Run Health Center in Doylestown, PA.
Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Rose, devoted mother of Christine (Rose) Saltzman and husband Lawrence, Charles J. Rose, Jr. and wife Patricia, Nancy (Rose) Reichelt and husband John; loving grandmother of Josh Saltzman and wife Mary, Ben Saltzman and wife Patrice, Joanna Kerwood and husband Matt, Alyssa Rose LeBlanc and husband Matt, Jeffrey Rose and wife Eliza, Tim Reichelt and wife Jamie, Matt Reichelt, and Carly Field and husband Kevin; cherished great-grandmother of Samantha and Mary Cate Saltzman, Ethan Charles Reichelt, and Nash and Ford Kerwood. Bernice is also survived by her dear sister Marie Tokarski and was preceded in death by her siblings Sister M. Benedict (Genevieve) CSFN, John, Joseph, and Stanley Jaskiewicz and Cecilia McGarrigle.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 am prior to the mass at the church.
Interment of cremated remains will follow at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 at 11:30 am.
