Obituary for James A. Giordano

James A. Giordano of Doylestown, PA passed away at his residence on Friday, August 3, 2018. He was 88.

Born on June 4, 1930 in the Borough of Phoenixville, Chester County, PA to the late

Alfonso and Jenny (nee Giordano) Giordano, James was a longtime resident of Doylestown.

James served four years in the US Army during the Korean War and eventually graduated from Juniata College and the University of Pennsylvania with High Honors and a Master’s Degree. He then taught Honors English at Abington High School, where he went on to be Chairman of the English Department. James was known throughout the school as “Mr. G.” and taught there until 1987, when he retired due to illness.

James is survived by his partner of 58 years, Donald Leirer and many relatives.

Services will be private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
