Lois Y. Michitsch of Doylestown, PA passed away in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA on Thursday, August 2, 2018. She was 89.

Born in New Hope, PA to the late Walter and Lillian (Horn) Yates, Lois was a lifelong resident of Lahaska, PA.

She attended Lansdale School of Business and then worked for the Highway Department. She later became employed as a legal secretary with the Bucks County District Attorney Office for 22 years, before retirement. She took great pride in her work at the DA’s Office. Lois was a member of the Lahaska United Methodist Church, church choir and United Methodist Women’s group. She was a member of the Midway Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. As a devoted mother and grandmother the most important part of her life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Michitsch, Sr.; mother of Chip Michitsch and wife Kathy, Linda Dilks and husband Lee; dear sister of the late Robert, James, Lillian, Glen and Donald Yates; loving grandmother of Courtney Bennett and husband Derick, Maxwell Dilks and Walter Michitsch; also survived by nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Tuesday, August 7th from 10:00-11:00 am, with a service to begin at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
