DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA - Joseph J. Nemeth of Doylestown PA passed away at Doylestown Hospital on March 13, 2012. He was 93 years old.

Born in Jersey City NJ, he resided in northern New Jersey until moving to Doylestown in 1977. He was married to Paulette (nee Cros) Nemeth for 31 years until she passed away in 1978. After serving in the Army during World War II, he worked in the federal government for the Social Security Administration and the Internal Revenue Service.

Son of the late Joseph Nemeth and Mary (nee Hancsis), Joseph was the devoted father of Evelyn Ryan and husband James of Coopersburg PA, dear brother of Irene Nemeth of Doylestown and the late Elizabeth Nemeth, loving grandfather of Michael Ryan and wife Aimee Hoben, Jacqueline Moyer and husband Andrew and Daniel Ryan and wife Destinie. He was the cherished great grandfather of Luna, Audrey, River, Beckett, Vivienne, Camille and Paulette.

Joseph loved music, especially Bing Crosby, painting portraits, growing roses and tomatoes, writing letters, good food, good wine, the N.Y. Times and dinner with family and friends. He believed in vitamins for good health and walking and jogging for longevity and he was proud to be self sufficient until the end of his life. He was a friend to people of all ages and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Monday, March 19th at 11:30 am. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 am prior to the service.
