Obituary for Andrew Elliott

CARVERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA - Andrew Elliott of Carversville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in the Briarleaf Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Doylestown, PA. He was 93.

Andrew resided in Carversville since 1954 and was a former resident of Trenton, NJ.

He was born in 1920 to the late John and Suzie (Sikora) Kuzmik, in Torrington, CT, where he grew up on a farm with his two brothers. He attended the University of Alabama and received a BS in Aeronautical Engineering. During World War II, Andrew moved to Trenton, NJ, and was first employed as an engineer at Eastern Aircraft; then at Kaiser-Fleetwings in Bristol, PA, where he worked on the design of a new dive bomber. After the war, he went into automobile sales on Olden Ave in Trenton, where he met his late wife Marjorie. They married in 1952 and settled in Carversville in 1954. Together they established Elliott Realty with offices in Trenton, NJ and Center Bridge, PA. They were in business for over 50 years.

Andrew was especially fond of German Shepherd dogs, and had eight in his lifetime. His favorite activities were walking, particularly along the Delaware River; and trips to the Maine coast. His hobbies included woodworking and photography.

He is the beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Anderson) Elliott, devoted father of Drew Elliott of Carversville, PA, dear brother of the late John and Paul Kuzmik, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers, Andrew's memory would best be served through contributions to the Bucks County SPCA.
