Obituary for Raymond F. Lynch

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA - Raymond F. Lynch of Buckingham Twp., PA passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was 94.

Born in Peabody, MA to the late Raymond and Mildred Barrows Lynch, Ray resided in Buckingham Township since 1967 and was a former resident of Hamburg, PA.

He was a graduate of Brown University of Providence, RI and also attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology of Cambridge, MA while he was in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Ray became a Capt. In the US Air Force and remained in the reserves until his discharge in 1957. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Ship Model Society.

Ray was formerly employed with Atlantic Refining of Philadelphia and was responsible for distribution among the Mid Atlantic States. He worked for the company for many years prior to his retirement.

Ray was the husband of the late Muriel and Helen Lynch, dear brother of Kenneth (Barbara) Lynch of Rhode Island, and the late Robert Lynch and Kathleen O Connor, also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, he was the dear friend and neighbor of Deborah (Richard) Fraser, Doris Elliott, Robert Elliott, Lyndsay Jurema, Elizabeth Williams, Jessica Jurema, Dorinda (Andrew) Rumbold, Justin (Gergana) Fraser, Steve Sanocki and children Leighann, Shayne and John.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Tuesday, August 12th at 11 am. The family will receive their friends from 10-11 am prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Neshaminy Cemetery, Warwick, PA.
