Obituary for Hilda Arencibia

JAMISON, PENNSYLVANIA - Hilda Arencibia of Jamison, PA passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA. She was 88.

Born in Havana, Cuba, to the late Everisto and Philomena Fernandez Morejon, Hilda immigrated to the United States in 1962 settling with her family in Philadelphia. She moved to Hallandale Beach, FL for several years then returned to the Doylestown area in 1991.

Hilda was formerly employed as a seamstress with Wanamaker s Department Store of Philadelphia and Bonwit Teller & Co. of Miami Beach, FL, before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed playing bingo and drawing as a hobby.

She is the beloved wife of the late Manuel Arencibia, devoted mother of Maritza Brint and her late husband Richard of Jamison, Maria Smundin and husband John of Wellington, FL, dear sister of the late Jesus Morejon, loving grandmother of Matthew and Lauren Smundin, and Alexander Brint.

A visitation will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, January 7th from 6:00-7:30 pm with a service to begin at 7:30 pm.

Private cremation services will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Neshaminy Manor, 1660 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976 would be appreciated.
