Obituary for Damon E. Giancola

Damon E. Giancola of Doylestown, PA passed away in Doylestown Hospital on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was 51. Born in Trenton, NJ, Damon resided in Yardley, PA for 17 years before recently moving to Doylestown, PA.

Damon was last employed as Chef/Manager at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur of Villanova, PA. He was formerly employed as an Executive Chef with St. Francis Medical Center of Trenton, NJ and cooked for fourteen years at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton, NJ. He received his education from Bucks County Community College, the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, ServSafe and NRAEF Safe at the Plate, Nutrition & Supervisory Training. Damon received certifications as a Certified Executive Chef, Certified Food Safety Manager, Food Management Professional and ServSafe & ServSafe for Alcohol Certification. He was a member of the American Culinary Federation, World Association of Cooks Society, ACF Accreditation Commission, BCCC Occupational Advisory Committee to the Chef Apprenticeship and Culinary Arts Programs, and Bucks County Technical High School.

He was the beloved husband of 18 years to Theresa “Teri” (DiGilio) Giancola; devoted father of Vincenzo DiGilio, Brianna and Damon Giancola; cherished son of Marian Briscoe, Ernest Giancola and wife Cynthia Anstey; dear brother of Natalie Giancola; loving nephew of Chris and Sue Giancola, and son-in-law of Doris DiGilio.

A memorial service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Friday, November 16th at 5:00 pm. The family will receive their friends from 4:00-5:00 pm prior to the service at funeral home.
