Barry G. Bickel, Sr. of Doylestown, PA passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Monday, July 2, 2018. He was 72.

Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Henry and Louise (Belmont) Bickel, Barry was a lifelong Doylestown resident.

He was the former owner and operator of Bickel’s Restaurant Supply of Doylestown, PA for 30 years. Barry was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Doylestown and was a jazz music aficionado. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War.

He was the devoted father of Katherine Bickel, Barry Bickel, Jr. and his companion Georgia Kolbas; dear brother of Thomas Sweeney (Catherine), Elizabeth Olimpio (Nicholas), H. Robert Bickel (Debbie), and the late Barbara Bickel (and her late companion Rosemary Frosch); loving uncle of Matthew and Nathan Bickel, Barbara Faltinek, Catherine Sweeney and the late Patrick Sweeney; and Barry’s granddogs Lenny and Ricky.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, July 12th at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
