Obituary for Abby Mae Stauffer

Abby Mae  Stauffer
Abby Mae Stauffer of Ottsville, PA passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 16.

Born in Sellersville, PA Abby was a lifelong resident of Ottsville with her family.

Abby was currently attending Palisades High School as a Junior and active in volunteerism through the Partnering with Youth and Community. She helped with the mission trip to South America and was planning to attend a mission trip to Bali in Indonesia in July. She was an extremely creative student and expressed that creativity through music and art, with a love for photography. Her aspiration was to be a photo journalist. Abby played the alto saxophone and took up the guitar a year ago. In addition, she was on the varsity tennis team.

This past year, Abby was a key participant in the Sustainable Living Expo that was held at the high school for students and the community. In addition, Abby was a familiar face to many in the community through her employment at Seraphina’s Cafe in Ottsville.

She was the beloved daughter of Jason and Elaine (Herbst) Stauffer; dear brother of Evan Stauffer; cherished granddaughter of Wilfried and Christine Herbst, and the late Dale and Cynthia Stauffer; loving niece of Mark and Karen Herbst, and Vinnie Stauffer; and devoted cousin of Jarrett, Allison and Nichole Herbst, Ashley Stauffer and Kayla Hayes.

A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944 on Friday, June 15th at 2:30 pm. The family will receive their friends from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the service.

Memorial gifts to the (Partnering with Youth and Community 155 Countryside Road Kintnersville, PA. 18930) The organization is a 501c3 non-profit. Your contribution will honor Abby’s love of service by assisting a student to go on a service trip in her memory.
