Obituary for Mark David Bagtaz

Mark David Bagtaz of Doylestown, PA passed away at home with his wife and children by his side, on Monday, May 28, 2018. He was 57.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Mark lived all over the country during his career, before settling in Doylestown, PA five years ago.

He was employed most recently by Element Materials Technology as General Manager of the Newtown PA lab. Last year he transitioned into the position of Business Development Director. Mark had a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. He was a US Naval Veteran. He was actively involved at Doylestown United Methodist Church, where he especially enjoyed the 11:11 Word and Worship Service on Sunday mornings.

When Mark wasn’t working at the job he loved, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He adored his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with friends, reading, and playing with his pets.

He was the beloved husband of Rosemary “Roz” Bagtaz; devoted father of Michael Bagtaz and wife Rebecca, and Katelyn Bagtaz; son of Robert Bagtaz and the late Margaret (Duran) Bagtaz; loving step father of Elisabeth and Grace Stevens, brother of Robert Bagtaz and wife Kelleigh, Jo Ann Gambrazzio and husband Scott, Paul Bagtaz and wife Janice, Eileen Pina and husband Robert, and Rik Bagtaz and wife Susan; cherished grandfather of Joshua and Rachel Bagtaz; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mark handled his illness with strength, positivity, and humor, and he never gave up hope.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 East Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00am. The family will receive visitors from 9:30-11:00am prior to the service. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following.

The family will also receive visitors at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street, Stoughton, MA 02072 on Thursday evening, June 7th, from 5:00-8:00pm.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown Pa 18901.

The family wishes to thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center for their care and support over the past four years.
