Ella L. Worthington a longtime resident of Dublin, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Brookdale Dublin. She was 92.

Ella was the wife of the late Louis Worthington and the mother of the late Lois Worthington. Born in Penns Park, PA on October 21, 1925, Ella was the daughter of the late George and Francis LaRue. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathryn L. Carson, brothers Wesley and George LaRue, and niece Jennifer Redstreake. She is survived by her brother Walter LaRue of Lake Placid, FL, nephew Jonathan LaRue of Point Pleasant PA, grand nephew William LaRue, nephew in-law William Redstreake of Southampton, PA and grand-nephews Joshua Redstreake and Jeremy Redstreake and many dear friends.

She was a long time employee of Bucks County, a member of the Dublin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Dublin, PA She loved to travel in her younger years, volunteered with the Ladies Auxiliary and Doylestown Hospital. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy, working on word games, crafts and reading the bible. Ella was a kind soul and was loved by all especially her family, her longtime friends and the staff at Brookdale. The family is extremely grateful and thankful that she was cared for so lovingly at Brookdale from the moment she arrived there until her final moments. She always said it was her home. A few words that perfectly describe Ella are gentle, humble, sweet and just plain nice. Her smile and sense of humor was contagious and lit up the room, and her sharp wit only added to the great impressions she left on everyone she had the pleasure of meeting. She will be sincerely missed by all.

Her burial will be at Wrightstown Friends Meeting Cemetery 535 Durham Rd., Newtown, PA 18940 on Saturday May 12th at 11:00 AM.
