Obituary for Lauren C. Tyler

Lauren C. Tyler of New Hope, PA passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital with her husband and sister by her side. She was 59. Lauren was the wife of 24 years to Joseph F. Pepe.

Born in Stamford, CT to the late Edward and Eleanor (Dredge) Czyr, Lauren resided in Belmont Shore, CA before moving to New Hope, PA 13 years ago.

Lauren attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and later received her executive secretary certification from Katherine Gibbs in Norwalk, CT. She was most recently employed as an executive assistant for upper management at ACP (the American College of Physicians) in Philadelphia, PA before leaving to pursue personal interests.

Lauren had a passion for gardening. From early spring until late fall, Lauren could be found outside in her gardens with her loving collie Beau by her side. Or she would be out exploring local nurseries for new plantings to add to her gardens. She also had a soft spot for cats, especially those in need of TLC. Lauren dedicated a good deal of her time volunteering for local cat rescue organizations. Lauren also enjoyed long, relaxing days at the beach, especially in MV with her sister and her family and in LBI with her husband and cousin.
In addition to her husband, Lauren is survived by her sister Lisa Bitzer and her husband William, and her adoring nephews Adam, Zac and Derek Bitzer.

Lauren wrote, “I believe imagination is stronger than knowledge, myth is more potent than history, dreams are more powerful than facts. Hope always triumphs over experience, and laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is much stronger than death.”

At Lauren’s request, her family will gather privately for a celebration of her life. Cremation services were private under the direction of Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lauren’s name may be made to Lambertville Animal Welfare (LAW), PO Box 722, Lambertville, NJ 08530 or www.lambertvilleanimalwelfare.org.
