Obituary for Robert "Bob" Trepeta

Robert Trepeta of Doylestown, PA passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA. He was 84.

Born in New York City, NY to the late Peter and Michalina Trepeta, Bob resided in East Hampton, NY before moving to Doylestown, PA in 1999.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota and was formerly employed as a cartographer with General Drafting Company of New York City for over 30 years. Bob later received an accounting degree and continued working in the banking industry and later worked for Lighthouse for the Blind, NY, NY.

Bob was a member of the Doylestown Quaker Meeting House; the Pine Run Meditation Group; enjoyed music and attending concerts, walking and hiking. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and also was an air traffic controller during his enlistment. Bob was known for his love of fine details, knowledge of food and ingredients in domestic and foreign cuisine.

He was the beloved husband and partner of 57 years to Sherwood “Woody” Carter; dear brother of the late Eleanor Wysocki and Ted Trepeta; loving uncle of Warren Trepeta, Susan Hanna and Christine Domalewski; also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering for Bob will be held at the Quaker Friends Meeting House, 95 E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm
