Douglas B. Sanders
Douglas B. Sanders of Doylestown, PA passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Wednesday,
September 20, 2017. He was 68.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Doug resided in Philadelphia before moving to the Doylestown area 61 years ago.

Son of the late Herman Sanders; Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda (Saylor) Sanders; devoted father of Brad (Christine) Sanders, Jason (Erin) Sanders, Robyn Sanders, and Mike (Dana) Sanders; dear brother of Bruce (Valerie) Sanders, Glenn (Denise) Sanders, and Kim (Glenn) Geib, his mother Dorothy (William) Mitchell; loving grandfather of Jacob, Gavin and Violet Sanders; cherished son-in-law of Helen Saylor and the late Leroy Saylor, brother-in-law of Marge (Bill) Houser, Al (Judy) Saylor, and Cammy (Rick) Ziegler; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Boy Scouts was a big part of Doug’s life. Doug became an Eagle Scout in 1965. Doug received Bachelor’s Degrees in Business and Prelaw from Alfred University in Alfred, NY and served as Owner and President of The Brentwood Group of Doylestown, PA for 25 years, retiring in 2012. Doug was a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania since 1974. He worked in every aspect of real estate but specialized in land acquisition, land development and marketing.

Doug was a proud and active member of the Bucks & Montgomery County Home Builders Association and for many years served as Chairman of the Charitable Committee. Additionally, he was a member of the South Jersey Builders League, Bucks County Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, NAHB, The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Doylestown Masons.

Doug loved life. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, reading, boating, laughing, smiling and spending as much time as possible on Long Beach Island. Above anything else, he loved and valued spending time with his family. His family was always the most important part of his life. Doug was a hard worker and a successful man, but he was never too busy to help someone in need. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and often went out of his way to make someone else’s life a little better. Doug had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh, enjoyed often by the people who had the privilege of knowing him. We encourage anyone whose life has been touched by Doug to please share a memory, appropriate time will be allotted during the service.
