Edward J. Borrell of Doylestown, PA passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 85.

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Alva and Mary (Herbert) Borrell, Eddie resided in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Doylestown, PA in 1956. He also resided in Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Marco Island, FL where he spent time throughout the year.

He was the former owner and operator of Lanum Metal Products, LLC of Philadelphia, PA and retired in 1993. Eddie was a US Army Veteran having served in Vienna, Austria during the Korean War. He also enjoyed gardening as a hobby.

He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Helen Borrell (nee Augustine), devoted father of Mark Borrell and the late Lisa Samuels who is survived by her husband Steve; dear brother of 10 brothers and sisters survived by his sister, John Knab and husband John; loving grandfather of Faith, Patricia, Emily and Marianne; cherished great-grandfather of Elizabeth, Vincent and Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914 on Saturday, August, 26, 2017 at 12 Noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Shriner’s Hospital for Children – Philadelphia Unit, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Doylestown Hospital Hospice would be appreciated.
