John Rase, age 69, died peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Newtown, PA after a six month battle with cancer. He was 69.

He is survived by his wife, Waraporn Rase, brother William Rase, and sister Susan Elinow.

John was a veteran of the War in Vietnam, where he served in ordnance. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Air Crewman Insignia, Air Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal, and Cross of Gallantry.

John, originally from Pittsburgh, traveled the world working in Riyadh, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, among many other places. He spent many years working as a financial officer for Stone & Webster and Technip.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
