Obituary for Robert F. "Bob" Stotz Sr.

Robert F. “Bob” Stotz, Sr. of Doylestown, PA passed away at home on Monday, June 19, 2017. He was 82.

He is survived by his loving devoted wife Susan (Hanna) Stotz. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 18, 2017.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Frieda and James F. Stotz, and raised in Buckingham, PA, graduating from Central Bucks High School Class of 1952.

He was the longest attending member of the historical Lahaska United Methodist Church since 1951, serving as Trustee, Treasurer of the Building Fund, Manager of the Cemetery Fund, and Advisor to the Board.

He worked at Penn Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. of Danboro, PA for over 37 years, retiring as Manufacturing Manager in 1993. He had many good years in retirement spending time fishing on the pier in Florida, sitting on the beach, working out at the Wellness Center keeping fit, and walking in his home neighborhood with his favorite walking stick.

Bob also enjoyed great music (jazz, rag time, big band); his photography, raising his American flag in the front yard, bird watching, kite flying, and dining out at his favorite local restaurants. He had many dear friends on social media and looked forward to sharing stories and pictures with each of them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Beverly (Brian) Phillips, Sandra (Richard) Schimpf, Robert F. Stotz, Jr., and Timothy (Michelle Tully) Stotz. Also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Richard Schimpf III, Christopher Schimpf, Zoe` Tully-Stotz, and Nicole Phillips.

He is also survived by his brother James J. Stotz and wife Marion.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing at the Lahaska United Methodist Church, 2491 Street Road, Lahaska, PA 18931 on Saturday, June 24th from 9:00-11:00 am, with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 am

Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.
