Clifford E. Callwood of Chalfont, PA passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was 91.

Born in New York City, NY to the late Clifford and Martha (Hembric) Callwood, Cliff resided in Scarsdale, NY before moving to Chalfont, PA 27 years ago.

He was a police officer before being promoted to Detective 1st Class with the NY Police Department, where he was employed for 24 years. Cliff later was employed with a funeral home in South Carolina and also became a Salesman with Chalmer Liquor Distributors of New York City for 10 years, prior to his retirement.

He was a US Naval Veteran having served during World War II.

He is the beloved husband of Aurelia Nieves-Callwood; devoted father of Marquita, June, Toni Ann, Clifford, III, Robert and Mark; also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Cliff will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, May 27th from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 pm, with a service to begin at 1:00 pm.

Cremation services were private.
