Obituary for Mary Jane Gana
Born in Danboro, PA, and raised in Doylestown, PA, Mary Jane graduated from Doylestown High School in 1947, and worked as a secretary in different real estate and attorneys’ offices. A woman who loved being around people, she donated her time and energy to her church, and volunteered for countless events and at the Central Bucks Senior Activity Center library.
Mary Jane loved spending time with family and especially spoiling her granddaughters. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, crafting, knitting, crocheting and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Gana, Jr.; her son Thomas Gana and his wife Karen; her son David Gana; her granddaughters Kimberly Gana and Jessica Gana; and her former daughter-in-law Laura Parker and her husband Bruce. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Gana.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, April 1st, at Wesley Enhanced Living, 200 Veterans Lane, Doylestown, PA 18901 with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 186 E. Court St., Doylestown, PA, 18901, where Mary Jane was a lifetime member.
