Beston "Jack" Abrams, age 90, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

He is survived by his wife Arlene 'Tybie' Seidel Abrams to whom he was devoted; by two sons Harris (wife Karen) and Jeremy (wife Kyoko) from his first wife Shulamith and grandchildren, Isiah and Jonah. He was also the stepfather of Arlene's children, Nevin (wife Lauren), Ilene, Richard and the step grandfather of Noah and Eliana.

Beston Jack graduated from Northwestern University and was a WWII veteran of the Army Medical Corps.

He was hired by E.R. Squibb and Sons in 1953 as a Pharmaceutical Salesman in Chicago. As his career evolved he had assignments in Hollywood, Sacramento and New York. His work with Squibb sent him to many countries including Singapore, Japan, UK, Greece, Austria, France Italy, Egypt, Netherlands, Peru, Brazil and Columbia.

Upon his retirement from Squibb as a Marketing Director, he founded Abrams Consulting Technologies, a pharmaceutical trademark development consultancy. His company worked with major manufacturers to develop over twenty pharmaceutical trademarks.

In 1971 while his sons were members of Pennsbury High School Marching Band, Abrams organized the Pennsbury Falcon Marching Band Boosters. This organization has supported the Band; sponsored trips for them all over the world and is still operating.

He was a long term member of the Young Israel Synagogue of Lawrenceville, the Jewish War Veterans and a past President of the Trenton Torch Club.

He also ran the New York City Marathon in 1979 and 1980.

Jack loved music; he played saxophone in a swing band, was a patron of the Metropolitan Opera and for many years presented a program of American Standard Songs to the residents of retirement homes.
During the last part of his life, he wrote aphorisms and had over 1000 of them published for distribution to friends and family.

It was his belief that a more peaceful world would ensue if more people participated in musical (or other) organizations which place a high priority on listening to what other people are saying (or singing) and also ask people to delay or forgo individual goals to achieve the greater common goals.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the People of Truth Cemetery (Cedar Lane), Hamilton, NJ.
