Obituary for William C. "Bill" Swanson

William C. “Bill” Swanson, 53, of Warrington, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the loving arms of his wife, Michelle, and surrounded by family.

At the time of his death, Bill was suffering from respiratory complications associated with the chemotherapy treatment he was undergoing for Colon Cancer.

Born in Chicago, IL on August 18, 1963 to the late Robert Sven Swanson and Nancy Lee Swanson (nee King). Bill resided in Warrington, PA since 1995.

Bill was the cherished husband of Michelle Swanson and a devoted step-father to Tyler and Nicholas Coughlin; dear brother of Kim Molitor and her husband Richard; loving nephew of Barbara Decker; and was survived by his cousins, extended family and many dear friends who were always made to feel like family, as well as his Golden Retriever, Barley.

A Chicago native, Bill was a true Chicago fan – loud and loveable. He passionately cheered on his Chicago Bears, and his beloved Cubbies brought him so much joy with their 2016 World Series Championship.

Bill was a Project Executive for Turner Construction Company of Philadelphia. He had received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University of Indiana. Bill was involved with ACE Mentoring Group of Philadelphia; a Board Member to be inducted in February with Virtua Hospital; active with Turner Company softball teams and tournaments; and enjoyed golf, football and baseball.
