Marian L. Smith of Doylestown, PA passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA. She was 80.

Born in Doylestown, PA to the late Calvin and Margaret Wilson Lear, Marian was a lifelong resident of the Doylestown area.

She was formerly employed as a secretary with several local businesses and retired after many years of service. Marian was a member of the Maennerchor Club of Doylestown and also enjoyed bowling and knitting for cancer patients at Doylestown Hospital.

She is the beloved wife of 35 years to Charles D. Carver; devoted mother of Debra (Gene) Loftus of Minnesota, Beth (Carl) Strecker of Ottsville, Lewis A. Smith, Jr. of Minnesota and the late Stephen Smith; dear step-mother of Karen (James) Rice, Jackie Tepel, and the late Diane German and Robin Molis; cherished sister of Margaret Smith, Robert Lear and the late Alberta Lambert; also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Friday, January 20th at 11 am. The family will receive their friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery, Forest Grove, PA.
