The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Seamans can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Gil Cohen & Alice Smith-Cohen
Condolence: We first met Jim Seamans about 12 years ago. We had come in contact because of my paintings depicting the 8th Air Force during WWII. Jim was truly a hero, having completed 35 harrowing missions over Germany flying a B-17 named "Seaman's Demons". He was a most modest man, not wanting to call attention to his many accomplishments.
Shortly before his passing he paid me the honor of signing the print editions of my painting "Wounded Aboard".

We will always remember this very special human being.

Condolence: we are saddened to learn of jim seamans passing. we didn't know capt. jim very well; only in our capacity as meals on wheels volunteers. he was always so gracious and so appreciative of our service which, of course, was akin to a grain of sand compared to his valiant service for the nation. we will always remember jim's smile, his good nature and modesty regarding his wartime experiences.

it was a privilege to know him.

Condolence: Dear Diane, David, Jim, Donna, grandkids and great grandkids,

So sorry to read of your father/grandfather/ great grandfather's passing. We will always remember your mom and dad welcoming us to their home for Maranatha Class dinners and the sweet fellowship we had there. Many years have passed but your dad's friendship and mentoring are still an important part of our lives. Several years ago he sent us a newspaper article about his service in WWII.
He was a true American Patriot and hero.
He will be missed but it's comforting to know that one day we will all be reunited.

Even though we are unable to attend the memorial service, our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

God Bless,

Cheryl & Ron Straka

Condolence: Dear Family:
We just read this morning of the passing of your Dad. Joe and I were so saddened but also pleased to know that he and your Mom are together again. It was such a joy and honor to have been able to call both of your parents a friend. Our fondest memories are with them at Grace Church. Your Dad taught us so much from our Adult Bible Studies that we hold fast too. He will be greatly missed by so many but will never will be forgotten. I still have a beautiful blue afghan that your Mom made us when they left Scranton that I treasure and all the wonderful times spent with them in their retirement home in New Hope. I know you will miss them both very much, they were so proud of you and so appreciated all that you did for them in their later years. It is just a joy to know that we will all be united again in our next life. We are so sorry that we can't make your Dad's memorial but we will be their in spirit. Much love, Joe and Cathy
